Ken already operates the best cleaning business on the Island and part of his success lays in his ability to adapt and offer his customers many cleaning services.

NOW Ken has done it again and become the Islands ONLY SUPER HEAT DRY STEAM CLEAN service for heat pumps.

Recently Ken was speaking to a friend who cleans heat pumps in Auckland and immediatey ‘saw a need ‘ for the Island.

Ken completed a course using the Super Clean It system and become the area operator for the heat pump cleaning for Waiheke Island.

OMG i didn’t realise those filters were that bad! …. That was the comment from the owner of these filters’

Filters from a recent home on the Island. Can you imagine the air being blown BACK INTO the lounge from these filters?

These ‘clogged up filters’ are not only a health hazard, BUT the unit is running hard and as such ‘churning through‘ the electric. Simply cleaning these filters along with the coil clean would mean hundreds of dollars would be saved each year on the power bill alone. !!

These are some of the videos of dirty heat pumps Ken has encountered on Waikeke Island.

Take a look at what we do.

GREAT video footage.

Some GREAT Before and After shots.

ISN’T IT TIME TO GET YOUR HEAT PUMP CLEANED ?

DIRT / MOULD on the coil.

This is BEHIND the filters you may be cleaning from time to time.

IF YOUR heat pump is 2 years or older and NEVER been cleaned, then it could easily be a health hazard just like these !

COOKING smells got caught for days and kept blowing BACK INTO the lounge. !
That’s what the owner of this unit said to us on the day we were cleaning his heat pump.

How Often Should You Clean Your Heat Pump?

Regular maintenance saves you money.

Regular maintenance will help your system run more efficiently and prolong its useful life. According to the NZ Department of Energy, “heating and cooling account for over 50 % of the energy used in a typical kiwi home, making it the largest energy expense for most home owners.

” Regular maintenance can reduce this cost by as much as 30%.

It really doesn’t take much working out to see that clogged up dirty filters and evaporator coils means a harder working unit tryig to draw air over and through the unit. dirtycoil1

Filters

A dirty filter will prevent adequate air flow across the coils. If a filter is really dirty, ice can build up on the coil. Symptoms of a dirty filter can be reduced cooling, reduced air flow, and water from melting ice around the base of the air handler.
Ken from On The Spot cleaning recommends you should be cleaning your filter at least every three months as a minimum.

Coils

Many people don’t consider what is happening ‘BEHIND’ the casing of the heatpump. Dirty coils will reduce the amount of heat exchange that can take place across the coils. Your heating and cooling system has two coils, an “evaporator coil” in the air handler inside and a “condensing coil” in the heat pump or air conditioner outside.
Symptoms of a dirty coils include icing, inadequate cooling or heating, and high electric bills. IF YOUR UNIT is over 3 years old chances are the buil up in the coil is really starting to take hold and a Super Steam Clean is the answer for you.

Regular maintenance also helps prolong the life of your equipment.

If a fan has to work under an increased strain because of blocked air flow or a compressor has to run longer to meet demand because of low refrigerant, they will wear out sooner. Replacing the multi-stage motors and compressors in today’s equipment is an expensive repair. Regular maintenance can help you postpone or even avoid these premature breakdowns.
TAKE A LOOK at this videoNOTICE THE NOISE of the fan and the actual unit on the before and after.. IT’S AMAZING

That video says it all doesn’t it.

Regular maintenance is the way forward to help reduce the power bills as well as prolonging the use of your unit. If you have never had your system professionally cleaned then contact me today and I can come and Super Heat Steam Clean today.
